Telander Gallery to Host Exhibit by Kandyce King


The Telander Gallery is hosting an opening reception of a new art exhibit by local abstract artist, Kandyce King. Her work is a visual feast of color, line, and boundless energy, using paint, pastel, pencil and charcoal on paper or canvas. She gracefully weaves spontaineity with an inner knowledge of classical balance and formal design. 

Join Telander Gallery for the opening reception, meet Kandyce, and enjoy good company, libations, and small bites. The reception is September 2nd from 4 -7 p.m. at Telander Gallery, which is located at 34 S. Colville St. in Walla Walla.

Smith Hollow Country School House in Dayton Washington






The Smith Hollow Country School House is a museum in Dayton. The one room school house that served Columbia County rural students in the early twentieth  century, was moved to it's current location in 2011. The museum features a restored classroom and rotating exhibits. Visitors enjoy hand-on activities including a player piano, old typewriter, and games. The museum is open 1-4 on Fridays and Saturdays. It is located in Downtown Dayton Washington.

Dunham Days

The 7th Annual Dunham Days is taking place August 26-28. Friday evening, 6-10pm, Whiskey Creek band will be performing in the Hangar Lounge. A variety of food trucks will be on site. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating. Bellevue Lamborghini will have on display a Lamborghini, Bentley Bentayga SUV throughout the weekend.
Saturday the Why Not Pizza truck will be on site as well as guest metal and glass artist, Lee Proctor.
A Sunday brunch is planned from 10am-noon. The cost for the brunch is $20.
Dunham Cellars is located at 150 E Boeing Avenue in Walla Walla.

Walla Walla Whitman Mission Birthday Celebration



The National Park Service is celebrating their 100th birthday on August 25, 2016. This Centennial celebration is happening in parks throughout America. Whitman Mission National Historic site will be celebrating on Sunday, August 28 from 1-4pm. Guests will enjoy a piece of birthday cake, have the chance to make an ornate feather, and watch cultural demonstrations. The first 50 kids that attend will also receive a free book.  The Walla Walla Whitman Mission is located at 328 Whitman Mission Road.

Fort Walla Walla Ice Cream Social


Don't miss the Ice Cream Social at Fort Walla Walla Museum! This is a day filled with family fun. Take the whole family to the museum to learn about the Valley's history and enjoy a bouncy castle, old-time music, living history performances, all the exhibits, and ice cream with paid admission!

The Ice Cream Social is Sunday Aug. 21 from 10-5 p.m. at 755 Myra Rd. in Walla Walla.

Canoe Ridge Grape Stomp


Have you ever wanted to participate in a traditional grape stomp? Celebrate the last days of summer with a traditional barefoot grape stomp set in the Canoe Ridge winery courtyard! 

Grapes will be fresh picked and delivered from the Canoe Ridge estate vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills.  Each guest will leave with a souvenir, but the group with the most juice will win a special prize, so bring your "A" team! After working up an appetite, enjoy a gourmet picnic at noon. Open to 21 and over please. $75 Guests; $65 Wine Club Members. The grape stomp is September 1. Don't miss it!

Summer Wine Crawl


Join Browne Family, Canoe Ridge Vineyard and Waterbrook for their summer wine crawl through their Walla Walla tasting rooms! This event is fun, laid back, and a perfect way to spend the evening. Each location will be part of a progressive dinner ending with a dessert bar at the Gesa Powerhouse Theatre! Enjoy outdoor games and wine specials at each winery.
